Jennelle VanderStouw
Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Lymphedema Thereapist
I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2008 and was certified as a Lymphedema Therapist in 2017. When my father was diagnosed with cancer in 2014, I sought more training in oncology massage to help ease his symptoms and improve his quality of life. That experience totally changed the focus of my massage practice to working primarily with those either going through their cancer treatment or living with the effects after treatment, such as lymphedema (though I love doing massage on sore people, sports people, pregnant mamas and everyone in between too:) My personal cancer journey began at the end of 2017 when I was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer. Going through surgery and recovery gave me another layer of understanding and empathy that allows me to be an even more compassionate therapist and resource for my clients.
In 2020, I was certified as a 200 hour yoga teacher and Yoga for Cancer instructor and love to teach yoga for beginners, for people living with cancer and restorative yoga to help people unwind and slow down.
I believe that massage is for everyone, at every stage of life to help keep the body fluid, moving and feeling good. I recently moved to upstate New York with my husband, Scott and two kitties, Philip and Penny. I travel back to Arizona monthly to work on my wonderful clients!
